Golf & Wine at the Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez

The insurance company MMA Dutreil Faucher had the pleasure to invite its clients for a convivial day centered around golf and wine.

We organized the golf competition for some twenty participants at the Golf of Bordeaux Lac.

After the lunch, on hole 1, the players went on the course of La Jalle by teams of two.

After nine holes, all teams got together around a table to taste Bordeaux wines.

In the evening the participants as well as new guests were invited for a cocktail dinner at the Insitut Culturel Bernard Magrez. Acquired about fifteen years ago by the latter, the Château Labottiere hosts artists as well as modern and as contempory arts’ exhibitions. This unique place in the heart of Bordeaux, with its facade, its roof framing and its garden has now French Historic Monument classification.

The cocktail in the garden with a view on the « Grande Maison » astonished the guests.

An awards’ ceremony rewarded the winners of the day, sponsored by the store « Le Golf Club 33 »,Bordeaux.

Golf Challenge: A putting competition also provided the evening’s entertainment, gathering the players, of course, but also the reluctant neophytes. An 8 metres putt surrounded by wine boxes offered a quite festive challenge.

During the evening we organized blind wine tasting in partnership with Emmanuel Bord de V2Vin. The guests had to guess the wine criteria such as the country of origin, the property or the vintage. Despite the difficulty of the task, some fervent wine lovers manage to reveal the nuances of wines from all over the world.
