Pro Am Château Calon Ségur

For the third year in a row, we organized the Golf&Wine charity Pro Am in partnership with Château Calon Ségur.

Participants were welcomed on Moday 26th of August on the wonderful Golf du Médoc Resort which as usual has a faultless maintenance. Châteaux Course, awarded several years best golf course in France and in the top 15 of Continental Europe offers to the professionals as amateurs a competitive and challenging golf course.

We’ve again a really good field/representation of European Tour players which 2 French Grégory Bourdy and Grégory Havret. Our faithful internationals players, wine lovers answered present for this event : Jamie Donaldson (3 times winners on the European Tour and member of the Europe Team at the Ryder Cup 2014), Richard Sterne (6 times winners on the European Tour), and Bradley Dredge (2 times winner on the European Tour).

This charity day to the benefit of the Association Aquitaine Destination Enfance offers our help to the actions to improve the life of the children in peadiatric oncology clinic in Nouvelle Aquitaine. The Association organizes cultural events, often around sport, for the children and their families to share a happiness moment together. Grégory is the godfather of the Association and tries to find days in his calendar to share conviviality with them.

Following the competition in Golf du Medoc Resort, with a wine tasting of the vintage Calon Ségur 2010, in the middle of the course, golfers were welcomed to the Château. This Chartreuse recently renovated by the architect A and the interior design A offers an idyllic setting to the guests. Professionnals golfers had the chance to stay in the Suite Rooms of the Château overlooking to the vineyard.

Following the cocktail in the gardens, guests were invited to the private table in the sumptuous dinner room with refined decoration. Food and wine pairing were selected with delicacy by the Chief and the General Director Laurent Dufau who served his best vintages : Calon Ségur 2009, Calon Ségur 2005, and to finish a magnificient Calon Ségur 1998!
