Pro Am Château Palmer

On Monday 11th of September we organized a pro am for a charity Aquitaine Destination, which is working for the improvement of children’s lives in hospital.

It was an honor to have the best golf players of the European Tour with 3 French Grégory Bourdy, Grégory Havret and Benjamin Hébert, one Ryder Cup player Jamie Donaldson and 2 tournament winners Bradley Dredge and Richard Sterne.

The competition took place in Bordeaux at the Golf du Medoc Resort, which won the France’s Best Golf Course award (Châteaux Course).

Some celebrities like the former world champion Laurent Blanc, the actor Stéphane Freiss of the rugbyman player Abdel Benazzi participated also at this golf event.

Château Palmer, grand cru classé Margaux, invited all players for a gala diner in their private lounge, tasting different wines on the best millesime.

The winner in gross was the team of Jamie Donaldson with Sébastien Moses, Anthony Moses and Eric Bernard. In net the winner was the team of Richard Sterne with Charles Sichel, James Davy and Laurent Blanc.

The chief of the sumptuous diner was the japenese Seiji Nagayama.

Aquitaine Destination

Founded in 1999 by two friends, this charity certified “Jeunesse et Sports”(Youth and Sports) aim to give more meaning to our sportive challenges by helping children living in hospitals in Bordeaux.

Each year the association builds sports events in order to raise money for the purchase of video-conference equipment to permit mothers to see their premature babies in neonatology.

Another goal is to offer to parents and children memorable moments for a day, so as to forget hospital life.

Grégory Bourdy is the godfather of this association.
